Dear Interested Party,

Spring is just around the corner! The winter in southeast Colorado will soon make way for spring and its fresh renewal of life. Cool though spring may be, spring is an optimal time to visit the canyon country of Colorado because of the cooler temps, abundant bird migration, and seasonal wildflowers.

Heritage Journey Tours would like to invite you to a major crossroads of the American West. Due to the location of the area, people have passed through here for thousand of years. Many explorers came through the region from the 1500's to the early 1800's, trade was estabilshed early at Bent's Old Fort, and Boggsville became the first "civilized" place in modern day Colorado situated along the Mountain Route of the Santa Fe Trail. These were all important parts of history, but the presence of people in southeast Colorado is much more ancient. Colorado has been a crossroads for civilizations for thousands of years. A place of deep history and controversy, southeast Colorado and its heritage will surprise you, and you'll want to come back for more.

Heritage Journey Tours is always excited to introduce visitor to the unique and valuable history of the region. To reserve a tour please call Laneha Everett at 719.643.5414 and leave a message. I will call you back shortly. We look forward to seeing you!

Heritage Journey Tours is also available to help with travel and regional visitor information. Let us help you plan your trip to southeast Colorado!
